吕.卡尔.卫民 原创艺术

Memory Series 2002-03:1980s' Students Salon Talks about Next Generation Artificial Intelligenc, 2003
Above Image:  "Memory: Talking about Next Generation Artificial Intelligenc" is one of Lu's Memory Series artworks which recalled a chat about the "essence of super-multidimensional & parallel mode of thinking of the next generation AI" between Karl Lu and his Student Salon friend Bao Yongjian in early 1980s, Bao later got his PhD in computing science in Germany and worked at GE, USA. Both the above chat and the artwork, in fact, intuitively and artisticly predicted the essence of today's AI which both ChatGPT and NVIDIA are based. Karl Lu created & originated his distinctive "Dripping Fluid Art Effect" with his work "Memory: Talking about [Freud's] Dreams" [ Below Image], a painting of Lu's "Memory Series 2002 - 2003" , which painted the hot topics about Western & Chinese philosophy, literature, psychology, science, art, etc. including Frued psychology, Maxism, Daoism, Kafka, Sartre, Hegel, philosophy of science, Next Generation Artificial Intelligence, and so on, based on Lu's memory of early 1980s Chinese elite students' Salon Talks in Hangzhou, China . Lu's Memory Series 2002 - 03 including "Memory: Talking about Next Generation Artificial Intelligence" and "Memory: Talking about Dreams" had been exhibited and published in 2003 and 2004 by the College of Fine Arts (Falculty of Art & Design), University of New South Wales, Australia, where were full of international students and visitors. Since then, Karl Lu has further abstracted the "Dripping Fluid Visual Effects" out off any real and specific content and fully developed and published his distinctive "Dripping Fluid Series" to address the Abstract Beauty of the "Dripping Fluid" itself. Since 2004, over the past decade, various "Dripping Fluid" artworks of paintings, sculpture, photographies, etc have also been rapidly produced and spreaded by other artists all over the world which has made "Dripping Fluid" into a "Global Hot Pop Art" which may be found the "Dripping Fluid" visual roots in Karl Weiming Lu's "Memory: Talking about Dreams" initially painted and exhibited in 2003 .
